Climate and Weather Information

The purpose of this programme is to provide weather, water and climate information services for the safety of people's life and properties and country socio-economic development. As air pollution is a regional and global issue, having a reliable air quality data will help guide Rwanda’s regulations and green growth through sharing information and experience on air quality status of the region. The Government through the Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) has introduced since 2017, Air quality monitoring programme to continuously produce reliable data as a baseline to inform the development of regulations to control air pollution and protect public welfare, including protecting ecosystems against poor air quality effects for a green economy and sustainable development.
