Discipline, hard work, team work and continuous learning are key for the quality work
On 1st May 2019, the Ministry of Environment joined the world to celebrate International Labour Day.
This celebration has been an opportunity to the management and the staff members of the Ministry reflected on last year employees’ and overall institutional performance, this year’s performance and future plans.
During the ceremony, Innocent Ntirandekura, the Human Resources Management Officer was elected and awarded as the best performer of the year and Mackline Mutesi, the Accountant announced the most punctual employee of the year.
The Minister of Environment, Vincent Biruta who handed over the award to the winner, encouraged the staff to maintain the discipline at workplace, work hard and promote the team work for the efficiency and quality work.
“The theme of this year is ‘Quality Work, A Catalyst for Sustainable Development’. This should be our everyday motto to make changes and improve our performance. To achieve this, we have to keep the discipline at workplace, work hard, promote the team work, and continuously learn from each other.” He said.
