New Permanent Secretary commits to strengthen time management and service delivery in the Ministry of Environment and Agencies

The incoming Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Patrick KARERA pledged to improve the time management and service delivery within the Ministry of Environment and affiliated Agencies for country’s sustainable development. Mr Patrick Karera said this at the ceremony of handover from Madam Fatina MUKARUBIBI, the outgoing Permanent Secretary which took place at Ministry’s Headquarter on Wednesday, 13 May 2020.

Speaking in the ceremony, Minister of Environment, Dr Jeanne d’Arc  Mujawamariya thanked Madam Fatina MUKARUBIBI for commendable achievements she made from her former position of Permanent Secretary and welcome Mr Patrick Karera on his new position of PS.

“On behalf of the Ministry of Environment and its affiliated agencies, I thank you for your contribution and service rendered to the Government of Rwanda especially to environment and natural resources sector. I wish you all the best in your future endeavour and in whatever capacity you will serve our great nation.”  Said Minister of Environment, Dr Mujawamariya.

“To the incoming PS, it is a privilege and pleasure to welcome you to the new post as Ministry’s Permanent Secretary. I have seen the energy, enthusiasm and commitment you bring on board in any discussion and duties we have; you are not new in the position of responsibility. We will continue to work together as a team.” Added Dr Mujawamariya.

Patrick Karera, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment pledged his full commitment to further strengthen the time management and service delivery to achieve the Ministry’s mission towards country’s and global vision.

“I first of all thank HE the President of the republic of Rwanda for trusting me and giving me this opportunity to coordinate the Ministry of environment and affiliated agencies to achieve the targets toward NST and country’s Vision 2050 as well as the global vision to sustainable development. I pledge my full commitment to bring in all my energy to support the environment and natural resources sector to contribute more to the county’s economic growth.” Karera said.

Before joining the position of Permanent Secretary, Patrick Karera previously served as Advisor to the Minister of Environment.
